Welcome to Team NoMAR!

Team NoMAR is a men’s ministry centered around Adventure Racing at North Metro Church in Kennesaw, GA. Team NoMAR is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts and adventure racers of all skill levels to meet teammates, train together, and exchange tips and techniques in order to advance the sport of Adventure Racing, while honoring our Lord Jesus Christ.

Why Adventure Racing?

First and foremost it is FUN! The AR community is an energetic filled spectrum of young and old participants. While it is meant to be a challenge there is a great team mentality that encourages a lot of cohesion among the pack. While we do encourage everyone to sign up for a race as a goal to accomplish it does not neccesarily have to be an Adventure Race. If an Adventure Race seems like too daunting of a task for you, or you just want to get ready for a local 5k road race, the Peachtree, or you just want to get out there and ride your mountain bike, team NoMAR has a place for you. We here at Team NoMar know you have to start somewhere and we want to help.

None of us at Team NoMAR profess to be experts about anything, (although Steve is a wiz on the grill). We are all just enthusiastic participants. Please hop over to The Forum and register. Registration gives you the ability to start new topics and post comments. We have put together a list of trails that we frequent and a calendar of when we will be there so please join us. Below are some great websites to find information from actual experts about everything from training to treating injuries, and gear choices to diet options. Use these as a starting place to get lots of questions answered.
